Apulian Heliport Network has been built and now is managed by Alidaunia within the framework of a specific contract awarded by Aeroporti di Puglia.
Such network responds to the demand for a system of helicopter landing sites, operating 24/7, strategically distributed all along the region territory and integrate with the airports. It still constitutes the only example in Italy of integrated management of a regional airport/ heliport system.
Each heliport is furnished with any necessary safety and security equipment: antitheft devices, firefighting and check-in for passengers and baggage (where required), as well as other services like handling, refuelling (Jet A1 - where required).
All the helipads are remotely controlled and managed from the operational control centre, located at the main base in Foggia, which guarantees the continuous monitoring of the network, along with all facilities and related services.
Is the hub of the heliport network as it hosts the control center managing the whole network.
The helipad has circular lay-out with of a reinforced concrete slab having diameter of 35 mt.

Inaugurated on September 23rd, 2008 has the take-off and landing strip consisting of a reinforced concrete slab having dimensions of 35 x 35 mt (0.25 m thick). Passenger terminal fully equipped for the handling of passengers and luggage.
Inaugurated on October 19th, 2009 has the take-off and landing strip made out of a reinforced concrete slab having plan dimensions of 35 x 35 mt (0.25 m thick). Passenger terminal fully equipped for the handling of passengers and luggage.
Inaugurated on October 9th, 2010 Melendugno Heliport has a reinforced concrete slab having plan dimensions of 25 x 25 mt. Passenger terminal fully equipped for the handling of passengers and luggage.
Inaugurated on November 12th, 2010 S. Giovanni Rotondo Heliport is made of a reinforced concrete slab having plan dimensions of 35 x 35 mt. Passenger terminal fully equipped for the handling of passengers and luggage.
Inaugurated on May 27th, 2011 Celenza Valfortore Heliport is made of a reinforced concrete slab having plan dimensions of 26 x 26 mt. Passenger terminal fully equipped for the handling of passengers and luggage.
Inaugurated on July 22nd, 2011 Peschici Heliport has circular shape and is made of a reinforced concrete slab of 26 mt of diameter. Passenger terminal fully equipped for the handling of passengers and luggage.
Inaugurated on October 19th, 2012 Supersano Heliport has a circular shape and is made of a reinforced concrete slab of 26 mt of diameter. Passenger terminal fully equipped for the handling of passengers and luggage.
Inaugurated on December 19th, 2012 the helipad is located on the roof of the pavilion "Asclepios" of Bari University Hospital. It has an area of 25.40 X 26.40 meters (including the Safety Area) and is available to any emergency helicopter. Is equipped with 28 yellow perimeter lights and 6 white horizontal lights and a visual guidance system. It is also equipped with a modern automatic fire protection system.
Inaugurated on May 15th, 2013 the helipad of Isole Tremiti San Nicola, to improve the service for Tremiti archipelago.
